Tara Workspace is a personal planning workspace for goals, paths, timelines, and next actions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to operate Tara:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, password hash, role, account status, and profile image if provided.
• Workspace content, such as goals, canvases, constraints, criteria, paths, timelines, tasks, actions, and archived items.
• Authentication and security data, such as session information, sign-in attempts, rate-limit events, and admin account actions.
• Plan and subscription records, such as your current access level, subscription status, billing period, and admin grant details when applicable.
• Support and feedback information, such as issue reports, screenshots or diagnostic context you submit, browser, device, viewport, page path, language, and timezone.
• Usage and analytics data, such as page views and basic product interaction information collected through analytics tools.
• Local preferences, such as theme and sidebar state, which may be stored in browser storage or cookies.

How We Use Information

• Provide, secure, and maintain your Tara account.
• Save and show your personal planning workspace.
• Enforce plan limits and manage Free or Pro access.
• Process subscription checkout and billing through Stripe.
• Respond to feedback, support requests, and bug reports.
• Improve product reliability, usability, and security.
• Prevent abuse, unauthorized access, fraud, and data loss.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and operational obligations.

Payments

Tara uses Stripe-hosted checkout and billing portal flows for Pro subscriptions. Stripe may collect payment details, billing metadata, tax information, and transaction records needed to process and manage subscriptions. Tara stores only the records needed to track plan access, subscription status, and billing period.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your workspace content. We share information only when needed to operate Tara, including with:

• Hosting and database providers.
• Authentication, security, rate-limiting, and analytics providers.
• Stripe for subscription checkout, billing, and payment management.
• Issue tracking or support tools when you submit feedback.
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data Retention

We keep account and workspace information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Archived goals and planning history are retained so they can be restored. Billing, audit, security, and support records may be retained longer when needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, legal compliance, or service integrity.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including password hashing, authenticated sessions, authorization checks, rate limiting where configured, and Stripe webhook signature verification. No system is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong password and protect access to your email and devices.

Your Choices And Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain uses of your personal information. You may also request information about categories of data collected and shared. To make a request, contact us using the contact information below.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal, fraud prevention, payment, or accounting reasons.

Children

Tara is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Tara if you are under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tara changes. The updated date above shows when this policy was last revised.
